Edusave Awards For Achievement, Good Leadership & Service

Criteria for Award

EAGLES Awards will be awarded to students who excel in the non-academic areas:

  • Achievement in CCA.
  • Outstanding leadership.
  • Community service.

Students must fulfil the following first before they can be considered for the Award:

  • Student must be a Singaporean.
  • Pass school examinations. (Advanced pupils will not be considered.)
  • Conduct must be Good, Very Good or Excellent.

Achievements

Basic criteria:
Represent schools in competitions, exhibitions or performances recognised by CCAB for computation of CCA points.

Sports & Games Uniformed Groups Arts & Cultural Clubs & Society
Criteria for selection • Participated in National/International competitions
• Represented NSAs in Regional/Internationl age-group competitions
• Attained a high level of achievement
• Received Zone/National Colours Award
• Represented respective UGs in National/ International competitions / events
• UG members who have received top awards
- Best unit Cadet (NCC/NPCC)
- 1st Class Scout Award
- Advance Scout Standard
- Chief Commissioner’s Award (Red Cross/ Scouts)
• Participated in National/International arts & music festival/competitions
• Attained a high level of achievement
• Represented schools at workshops, exhibitions and competitions (National or International)
• Attained high level of achievements

Good Leadership

Basic criteria:
Assume leadership appointments in core activities recognised by CCAB for computation of CCA points.

• Exco member
• Committee members
• Captain, Vice-Captain • Any rank above rank of Lance Corporal
• Holding leadership appointments and other office bearers
e.g. CSM, Asst. CSM, other office bearers
• Holding appointments and other Office bearers
e.g. Conductors, Drum Major, Band Major, NCOs, Section Leaders, Chairman & other committee members
• Holding appointments and other Office bearers
e.g. Chairman & other committee members
No. of Nominations per CCA
Remarks Rank students based on leadership, teamwork, attitude, discipline, contribution to the CCA/Group

Service

Basic criteria:
Must have completed the minimum hours of service to the school or under the Community Involvement Programme (CIP).

Criteria for Selection • Shown high quality of service.
• Performed voluntary work (must show high level commitment).
• Made significant contributions in CIP.
No. of Nomination • As Deserving.
• A short write-up is required for nomination of pupils in the service category.
• Any teachers can nominate pupils for this category.
• Teachers are to collect supporting documents for the students they nominated.
