Application Process

Application for DSA-Sec is to be submitted through the online DSA-Sec Portal, from 8 May to 4 Jun 2019. For more details, please refer to MOE’s website – www.moe.gov.sg/admissions/direct-admissions/dsa-sec.

8 May 2019 to 4 June 2019 (by 3pm)

Tea Session @JSS

Interested students and parents are invited to a tea session to find out more about the range of exciting programmes offered in JSS 2019 DSA Exercise.

Date: 4 May 2019

Time: 8.30am to 10.30am

Venue: Pulse Studio, Jurong Secondary School

Trials and Interview sessions

July 2019 to Aug 2019

Shortlisted applicants will be informed at a later date to attend the trials and/or interview sessions.

Notification period

31 Aug 2019

All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application via post.

Admission Criteria

All applicants must be eligible for Secondary One admission in 2020.

All shortlisted applicants are to submit the following documents:

·         Copies of Primary 5 results (Mid-Year and End-of-Year)

·         Copies of Primary 6 results (Mid-Year)


Shortlisted applicants for the individual programmes will be informed of the following: 

Sports

Trials

Basketball (Boys and Girls)

Volleyball (Girls only)

Science Communications and Research

Interview and Laboratory simulation sessions

Service Leadership 

Interview sessions


Parents and students are encouraged to choose schools wisely based on the student’s aptitudes and strengths, bearing in mind the schools’ academic and non-academic requirements, and the programmes available to develop the area of talent.


All International Students who are considering DSA-Sec admission are required to take part in the Admissions Exercise for International Students (AEIS). For details, please refer to the AEIS website at 

https://www.moe.gov.sg/admissions/international-students/admissions-exercise 


Applicants who are not currently studying in MOE mainstream primary schools must obtain a registration number from the MOE Customer Service Centre (CSC) from 8 May to 4 Jun 2019, 3pm.

Returning Singaporeans and International Students applying to Jurong Secondary School will have to sit for a JSS Entrance Test, and score passes in English, Mathematics and Science.
