Assessments and Examinations

The academic performance of a student is assessed regularly to gauge his/her progress in learning as well as to provide timely feedback and for his/her academic achievement.     

The assessment includes the following:

a) Weighted Assessments (W.A)
        Eg Alternative assessments, Class quizzes, Project work, Practical tests and daily assignments

b) Semestral Assessment (S.A)
        Eg Mid-year examinations (if applicable) and End-year Examinations

c) The table below shows the distribution of weightage of assessments for each subject.

Note: 

1) Secondary 4 and 5 students will be sitting for their Graduation Examinations 1 and 2 in Term 2 and 3          respectively.   

2) For Secondary 1 and 2, the subjects (Eg D&T and FCE) that are taught on a semestral basis will have the following weighting: 2 Weighted Assessments (15% each) and Mid-year/End-year Exam (70%).
